Reflection in the Yukon By : benbrinker Added on : Mar 26, 2015
I took a road trip last summer from Atlanta, Georgia to Anchorage, Alaska. This picture was taken in Yukon, Canada, several hours away from the border of northeast Alaska at a place called Kluane Lake. It is located on Alaska Hwy 1.
I drove back down this road three months later at the beginning of Fall and it was a completely different scene. Most of the trees were bare–and the water had large waves coming from across the bay. Still beautiful, but not as breathtaking as in the Summer.
Sea Moss Sunset By : Robert Bynum Added on : Mar 25, 2015
I have been waiting for this green seaweed to grow again on some of these rocks in the tidal zone. It dies back in the summer and is brightest right about now. Now I just have to wait for a great sunset and the right tide at the same time.
