I spent several hours hiking through the dunes taking hundreds of photos one afternoon in October. Despite having a cold and it being over 45°C I enjoyed every moment. I hope to return to this beautiful place in the near future.

Early summer sunrise at Jekyll Island, Georgia, USA.
I noticed this beautiful area on the island called “Driftwood Beach”. It was result of a massive hurricane in the 1800’s which changed the land mass of the island. Driftwood Beach was an oak forest prior to the hurricane. The hurricane removed part of the forest leaving Driftwood Beach as gentle reminder of the power and fury which nature bestows upon planet earth.

I have seen this beautiful bridge photographed hundreds of times but never from a unique perspective. So one morning before sunrise I walked through thick bush, jumped a fence and continued along a train track before stumbling across this magnificent view.
This is Aldeyjarfoss. Located 40 kilometers into the highlands from the Ring Road, Aldeyjarfoss is situated in a lava field that formed over 9,000 years ago. The river’s source is Vatnajökull’s glacial runoff, while its incredible basalt columns resembles that of its smaller (and more widely known) counterpart, Svartifoss. Clearly, getting here is a testament to taking the least ventured path, as it was impossible to find another soul for miles upon miles.
